Last night Autism Speaks NJ honored our own Maria McGinley at the 2nd annual Chef’s Create Gala. Chefs Create pairs chefs from NJ with individuals with autism to create delicious dishes. When Gary Mayerson introduced his friend and former partner, he brought us all back to the days when Maria was a special education teacher at the DOE and how the impact of that experience led her to be one of the best advocates for autism – both legally and personally.
