ABOUT US
in matters involving special education programs and services.
Our Approach
For over a decade, we have built a solid record of success helping families obtain and fund the highly individualized educational program their child requires. Our legal representation is innovative, passionate and strategic. Our core practice area is seeking funding for tuition and/or services under the federal IDEA statute. We have helped hundreds of families seek funding for complex educational programming, private special education school placement, 1:1 ABA therapy, afterschool services and supports. We also assist families with ensuring that your child is in their least restrictive environment, inclusion, assistive technology, compensatory education, transition training and more.
Our legal strategy is twofold. Our team partners with your family to try to resolve your matter without the need for litigation, if possible. If you need to file a due process proceeding, our firm will attempt to resolve your matter by way of a settlement with your district. However, from the very beginning of our representation, we also prepare to litigate your case if a satisfactory settlement is not feasible. We believe that this foresight and planning is the reason for our extremely high success rate in both settlements and at hearings.
At all stages of representation, you will receive open, honest and transparent communication from our office. Accessibility is key. We are always available to answer your questions or discuss your concerns. Our goal is to make this process less stressful for your family.
Our team has close relationships with many of the professionals in the special educational field. We work alongside the experts to ensure that we are up-to-date on the programs and services available to our clients and to also ensure that we are kept apprised of pedagogical and other advancements in the field.
Our practice is primarily concentrated in NYC, and our firm occasionally represents clients in Long Island, Westchester and New Jersey. We do represent families who are re-locationg to NYC from other regions – nationally and internationally.
